Facebook for Job Hunting?

I just wanted to pass this on. Recently I've noticed quite a few postings via facebook advertising jobs. Now these have all been shop/cafe work although one was for a marketing manager, but it's another avenue for getting work. Look online and see if there are any local networks on facebook that you can join. Maybe 'like' a company that you want to work for. You might get some inside info.

I'm self employed and can see that quite a few clients check out my Linkedin profile before they contact me, so it might be worth having one that people can see and assess you.

Anyone else got any social media job hunting experiences?

A lot of the recruitment companies post their jobs on facebook, Shamrock Recruitment being one of them. Both myself and my husband have linkedin pages and this link is on our cv's at the top under our address etc. Linkedin is good as people confirm your skills, so its not just a case of saying you can do things, others confirm it too.
