Hi Matt and Jax

I hate to say it but we went to this show in London last year and it wasn't all that. There were very few stands that were of interest to us and the area they had the seminars in was quite small. I think we would of stood all day trying to see one. I have to say for the money it cost to get there and get in, it was a waste of a day But I suppose if its in your home town why not take a look.

On the other hand we also went to the emigrate show at Sandown Park, Surrey. That had quite a good selection of stalls and I found the seminars interesting, they even had a maori group performing. I think it was listening to one particular man that swung our decision to seriously take a look at NZ. Not long after we booked a trip out to Christchurch. We are going back to the show this year. Now that we have decided to make NZ our home we thought it might all be more interesting this time round... oh and also because we got free tickets

More free pens coming my way I do love collecting all the stuff you get at these shows

They have the show at Sandown Park or Glasgow. I noticed you are in Manchester, if you go online it has a link so if you can't get to a show you can order a free emigrate pack www.emigrateshow.co.uk

Sorry, didnt mean to waffle on... hope it helps

thanks for that. we saw somebody on a different thread had mentioned it wasn't as good as expected. well its only a quick tram ride for us, and something to do on otherwise free weekend, so it would be hard to not go when we're so excited for all things Kiwi!
and you never know they may have improved it this year

We went to the Gmex expo in 08, complete waste of time and effort.
we wre in and out in around 15 minutes and that included a trip to the loo.
ended up going for lunch in castlefield by the canal instead.
