Expats from Canada, USA, Europe?
 

How's this for an identity crisis?

We're not actually British but have lived in London and Surrey for several years. Before and after that in Canada (where I'm from), the USA (where darling wife is from) and Greece (it's a long story...).

Any meetups, events, etc. to meet similar culturally confused (but globally comfortable) expats?

Especially in Christchurch?

Thanks Sue, I suppose we're sort of honourary Brits as most of my colleagues are British and we have fond memories of living in the UK up to 2009... :-) I know London better than I know my own hometown.

We'll be comparing NZ (whether we want to or not) with the UK and Canada, I guess....

We're doing that the other way around ;) We're British, been in Canada for 8 years now an really keeping our fingers crossed that we will be heading to NZ (Dunedin) in 2014. I say that really quietly though, don't want to jinx anything...

My husband & I will be coming to Christchurch from the UK at the end of September, so would love to arrange a meet up with anyone willing! We are early 40's, no kids, adore rugby and love a bit of socialising ;)

I will also be keen to find a decent coffee-house once I land, as love a good cup of proper coffee! :D
