Default Excess baggage companies...

hi all

hope you're all well... i've been quiet here recently, lots of work to do and haven't had much time spare!

we're currently negotiating 50kgs baggage allowance but in case we dont get it we're planning on sending a couple of tea chests over and i've heard good write-ups on seven seas - contained in these will be work books, toys for little 'un and camping gear / boots etc.

anyone have anything bad to say about these guys? did anyone use them for insurance?

also, regarding sending this stuff over (personal belongings)... what happens re: import customs and duty? will anything be payable?

Cheers,
rick

Yep I used them to bring my boxes over (about 18 in total).
Nothing bad to say from my end, they had no problems with me making a few changes along the way and everything arrived at my door on the dates arranged.
It did take about 12 weeks door to door (by sea) but I knew that from the start and they did stick to the dates quoted, in fact were a few days early if I remember rightly

Marmite should be fine. My son took a huge jar in with him last month. He declared it and was told that loads of Brits bring it with them. Can't help with the other stuff tho.
