Ex Army Electrician Questions

Hello there,
Im currently working in Australia as a Electrical Trades Assistaint in a mine, It seems it need another 9 months experiance to get my Australian licence. I have decided with my Partner to go over to New Zealand to check it out and decide were and when we should look for work.

Any way back to my issue that I hope some one can enlighten me in. I was trained in the army as an Electrician and served for 4 years 3 months as an electrician. Unfortunatally I dont have any confirmed details on the electrical work that I undertook as its not really done that way. Ive looked through EWRB and some of the posts but Im looking for some advice about how to get around this? also alot of my work was restricted/secret. Im at a loss and dont want to send off aplication forms and get refused with out a fair punt.

Kind Regards
David

David, doesn't your certificate of service state your duties?
Mine certainly does....
It also has a statement from you CO which can act as a reference.
I doubt you'll be asked to reproduce detailed wiring diagrams for the "secret" work you did in you four years and three months.
Wouldn't it realistically be a better long term plan to get that Aussie ticket which would be recognised here?

As regards to Australian ticket to New Zealand, Australia requires 5 years experiance military even befor considering testing you and all that jazz. Yes I got a duties print out and letter from CO but I've been mucked about so much trying to get an Australian licence I seen to have lost the faith in the system.

Well going to put in all the information I can and see what happens I guess.

Thanks for the reply's guys and will be chatting soon
