Perhaps some expats haven't been into a UK Currys for a while and have forgotten their not so legendary customer service, disgraceful after care, premium rate help lines etc. Before I go out and part with $1500 I thought I'd ask a pretty simple question. Sadly this forum should be renamed snipersandweasels.com. Some really sxxxxy attitudes and enormous egos.

Agreed.

I came on here to pick the brains of those who have lived over there for e while, on the most part people have been helpful.

But I question why some bother posting ...

And to think we get uppity when they (the locals) express their disinterest and/or dislike of whinging POMS ...

How so? NZ is often a leader in some areas, the smaller market and reasonable skills often mean companies trial things out. Take Air NZ for example, many of their initiatives are far ahead of the UK. EFT-POS is another area where NZ has had something for years. The global tech company I work for certainly implements the same technology in NZ that gets done around the world.

Web wise they have been slow to develop , but I think that is cultural too. Australia is the same.
