Hi, I need help!

I have taken a short stay rental for a month in Orewa and have just realised that my appartment does not have ESPN which means I will not be able to watch the Campions league final between Man Utd and Barca on May 28th (6.45am!).

Can any one help point me towards a cafe or bar in the area that will be showing the game (or a video streaming site?)?

I'm not sure in terms of the area where you live (never been there), but whenever I've been struggling to watch a game at odd hours I've always found that casinos are your best bet, they tend to be open 24 hours and show every sporting event known to man.
Whether there'd be any within easy travel distance of you I don't know.

There are usually bars in the CBD who show such games. Have you asked at the bars in Orewa? Might be worth asking at the Pacific bar in Gulf Harbour too, as they sometimes show matches. HTH

Thanks for the offer Vital -but it could turn ugly,especially as you cry in defeat!

Problem is the poxy time its on in the morning. Cos I really don't fancy gettinginto the CBD for that time and I dont think Orewa hasas much as a tab-never mind a casino! Oh for espn!

I will start asking around the bars/ cafes this week.

Funnily enough I made this remark about man yoo, calling someone a scum supporter on an email - he got offended and was quite aggressive. Never had that reaction in the UK ever! You can take Man Ure fans out of the UK, but not the Man Ure out of the fans...

But in the interest of fair play you could at least tell me which looser team it is you support so that I might pitch my retaliation at the right level!

I went into a bar here yesterday and the manager saidthey will be opening for the match provided they get enough interest, so fingers crossed, I will be watching it there!

Sorry to upset your sensibilities Zoglet I'm well used to dealing with laughter, abuse & sympathy for my team. Actually the abuse only comes from Man U fans. I support the BLUE team in Manchester . Don't bother with the insults I'm used to it & heard it all before
