EOi almost complete!!

just waiting on one more passport then i will send it off. it occurred to me that i havent mentioned i am taking medication for high BP (prescribed during pregnancy) - is it better to mention everything than not mention it at all?? I am not the primary applicant btw.

edited to add that I have just had a baby, and GP has prescribed some ADs to help my baby blues. i almost feel embarrassed to mention that i am on those too - they will probably think i am a raving mental nut case about to lose my cool any minute lol. Of course i dont plan to be on either forever - and i would hope that i was off them by the time i have the medical (and a few stone lighter).... so do i mention it or not? :o

You definitely need to reveal all your medications etc, as their checks will bring them up in any case. There isn't anything to be embarrassed about when taking AD's. I have been on them on and off for several years and even had to see a counselor at one stage. My husband has been on them for a little while to help get over the death of his mother. See all this and we still got in. Had confirmation yesterday and over the moon. So there is no reason to withold such information. They are only worried if you are a major burden or risk to their society.

Don't be despondent if they ask for a separate medical letter from the doctor reporting on your current status, I had that. I also had to see a specialist psychiatrist for a further report to confirm I am not a nutter. Again this didn't scupper our chances. It did however cost more money and time, but worth it, without doubt.

Hope this helps, chin up and good luck.

thanks for your reply. i have submitted the EOI, and I did reveal all. Although I wasnt sure how much detail to go into, so just said these tablets for BP since early pregnancy, and these just prescribed in last 2 weeks for mild depression under review. i thought better to be safe than sorry!

then this morning, I completely forgot that daughter1 is receiving treatment for excema... its very mild though. Could be treated with moisturiser and we only use it when it flares up ... couple times a month. dammit.

i have printed off my EOI but darent look through it in case i spot a mistake LOL!!

thanks again - your post was very reassuring. kate xx
