Entrepeneur Residence Catagory Visa anyone?
Just wondering if anyone has set up a business in NZ and how easy was it compared to the UK. We've had our own business for 20 years so are well versed in the trials and tribulations of such a venture, but just wondered if anyone can give an insight on how they found this route. Cheers

not personally but think you have to provide a detailed business plan, have $100,000 minimum to invest, gain at least 120 points.
this could lead to a 12month start up visa with 24 months visa after that, so no a permanent visa. |

The business plan needs to be realistic and achievable as well, this couple didn't meet the business growth targets they forecast: https://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-pos...esidency-fight

It's not like there aren't enough cafes, food trucks, takeaway places and fast food franchises already. I'm pretty sure the cafe quota must be well over subscribed and we're no longer in desperate need of anymore cafe owners to provide us with more lattes, muffins and scones.
