English Exam

Hi just wondered if we have to sit a English exam to be able to live in New Zealand? My mother-in-law is certain that we do but I thoughT that because we are from England and have been here all out lives we don't have to.

Not usually, if you were educated through the medium of English, but some jobs, such as nursing, need you to sit a test.
