electrician looking at NZ
Hi
I am a firefighter in the uk, I am 31. Looking for any advice and research into emigrating. Obviously it is a huge decision but I feel so disheartened with the uk and have said that if michael gove goes ahead with his plans for children being in school until 6pm that I will move my family. There's got to be more to life than work and no play! I am a time served uk spark (10 years exp and I still do elec works) and been in the fire service for 3 years. Iv been looking at Christchurch, Queenstown and Dunedin areas although I am open to the north as well. My family is my wife, 2 yr old son and 3 yr old choc lab (she's crazy but love her to bits so couldn't leave her behind, I also love the dog :p). Any help on jobs in these areas, housing and what sort of pay scale I could realistically achieve would be greatly appreciated. I have seen pay scales brandished about on the web but want a genuine realistic idea. Sorry if this has been done before. Just want some good honest insights. Thanks Jamie |
