EEA FAMILY PERMIT 4 UNMARRIED PARTNERS!??

Hello everybody,

i woud appreciate any advice on my question, so please let me know what you think..I have some questions to ask , please if someone know about eea family permit,

frankly my intentions are that i want to join my italian girlfriend in uk and to live and work there too. but i can see some difficulties in applying the visa EEA Family Permit.. As Unmarried, and will explain to you what it is still makes me very confused : :fingerscrossed:

- My italian girlfriend she's live and work in the uk with no permanent residence!!
- She doesn't own or rent a home, just shares a single room with the other persons in a apartement, <do not have a contract of rent>,
- I've heard that if we plan to apply for EEA Family Permit, we have to proof that we have lived together for 2 years, how we could proof that? we know each other 2 years now but never lived together just visiting each other for few days.

Thank you! :o

Hi Redmir.

I would suggest that you post this query in either the "Europe" forum or "Moving back to the UK" forum, as you may get more specific replies.

Unfortunatly, I can't help answer your question though. Best of luck getting an answer! :fingerscrossed:

As far as I know citizens of any European country have right of permanent work and living in any other European country so your Italian girlfriend doesn´t need any permanent residence permit to live in the UK, she can do so as an Italian citizen.

This is one of the reasons I am thoroughly unhappy with the UK and Europe...

As far as an EEA Family Permit, no idea personally and for this site there is probably very few people with experience of it as the vast majority won´t need it.... even if returning to the UK...
