Well just when I have been sleeping through the past few weeks another big un came last night. What is going on with them all. Surely it is time she settled down now!! She had her say and we all took note now enough is enough!

We're here now - and felt that whopping aftershock last week. Welcome to Christchurch we said!
Would love to meet up for this BBQ - have been living in Waikuku Beach for two weeks, and are moving to our rental house in Rangiora on Friday. Will be so pleased to see our furniture after 9 weeks of indoor camping/renting this lovely bach.
Let me know about dates - we could do weekend after Labour weekend?
And we have two small boys - 3 and nearly 2 - so happy for them to come too?

When you say survivors of the earthquake are invited, does that only extend to the Christchurch earthquake, as we survived a 4.1 earthquake here in the East Midlands in February 2008?

The Earthquake Survivors Barbie is scheduled for Saturday 30th October.


Please pm us if are you thinking of coming and you are an ES (Earthquake Survivor) with a phone number (mobile, whatever) and we will ring you this weekend to introduce ourselves, confirm the arrangements, give you directions etc. There will be a few neighbours coming too who are also ESs.



Also: some people on this forum have had a whipround and we have received a large contribution to the BOOZE for this event :

Can I be a possible?
Me and Mr S were talking about possibly going away that weekend just to get away from it all. I'm working all Labour Day weekend and he's been away with work so much in the last few weeks that we've barely seen each other. Another reason why I've got more stressed recently- been all alone with only the aftershocks to keep me company [that sounds so pathetic, sorry]
Do you need to know numbers now or can I PM you during the week?
