Re: Earthquake....again!
Yeah, I'm waiting for Geonet to update. Anyone remember the frequency of the Christchurch earthquakes ? Rhetorical question with a pinch of sarcasm.

Re: Earthquake....again!
It is still very wobbly isn't it. I've also legged it outside, more than once. Getting down the stairs the first time was weird with them undulating beneath my feet.
Well. Stay safe everyone.
For those of you in Wellington - I hope you're all OK and those of you at work are able to get home OK.
....edit ..........
Okays . I'm staying by the open ranch slider on the ground floor .

I'm gonna need to put a spare pare of pants in my emergency kit under my desk if this keeps up.
I just bailed from work, the CBD is going nuts again with people everywhere, sirens going. Oh well an early finish to the week then
PS - I find chocolate is good for settling the nerves!

TV 1 currently doing a news broadcast if people want some info.
Also, rolling news on the Herald: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/ar...ectid=10913402
Edited to add - oopps that was quick. TV1 broadcast finished - guess they might do more updates later.

Re: Earthquake....again!
Is this latest lot a continuation of the previous 2 swarms of quakes centred in Seddon rather than a new quake and aftershocks?
Can't imagine how the good people of Seddon must feel.

Re: Earthquake....again!
Yes. Geonet locates the majority in the same location, so likely related.

That was a really big one here in the HUTT. Anyone else's nerves shot to bits?

Re: Earthquake....again!
Think i failed that earthquake drill. Not sure I should of pushed a student out of the way to get out the door. I did drag him with me and then he had to hold my hand. I think I was meant to be the one calming him down not the other way around. Oh well!
Enough shaking now, just stop.
