Actually now 6.86 - ouch!
and I felt it here in Chch - lasted a good minute or two

Worst one I've felt. There was another straight after as well.
Shook everything and went on far too long. Lots of smaller ones at the moment.

That was a big one. First one that I have grabbed the kids and headed outside. All the trees were shaking like crazy.

Yes, I know you are supposed to rock, shop and recover. My instinct is to get clear. The ground was undulating under my feet. The car was wobbling, the car ariel was moving.
House still felt like it was undulating for a good few minutes afterwards.
