Default Earthquake

Did anyone feel the earthquake at about 5.30am this morning? Woke me up with a start, rumbled right through my bed. Best rumble in bed I've had in a long time!

Cool ..... I love a good earthquake, as long as everyone is ok and safe afters of course. We've only had one since we arrived and there was a big rumble like a train and then like a wave of movement bumping us back and forth, it was really exciting

Yeah, it was exciting and scary at the same time. I kept waiting for a big one to follow but of course it didn't. I've only felt a small one before and wasn't sure it was one until I read it on the net. This one was much bigger. And thatnks, everyone fine, was just tired at work this morning!

Apparently it was 7.6 on the Richter scale but was about 800KM from Auckland. Went right through the NI. I certainly felt it!! Do we get many like this? They certainly scare me :scared:
