Duty free
Anyone know if you're allowed to bring duty free grog on board a plane flying into NZ with that 100ml bottle luggage allowance regulation?
Does anyone have recent personal experience?

Re: Duty free
I have seen people have drinks taken off them when boarding/re-boarding at airports they have bought stuff at, just depends, anyway you can buy your duty free on landing in NZ before you go through customs

Yeah, that's what I had heard. Might have to do it here. I see you can order online if you like. I just thought there might be different choice overseas.

We flew via Singapore we bought 1 bottle each there and were allowed to buy 2 more each at Auckland when we landed.

Don't know if same with booze, but with perfume as long as it's not opened, and the bag still has seal from Duty Free shop, it seems to be ok.
Then again, I wouldn't risk losing booze!!

Re: Duty free
You are allowed three 1litre bottles of duty free per adult over 18, best to buy it in NZ cause its not a bad price and you dont have to carry it around on your trip..

Re: Duty free
Confused now because, like the second poster, I've heard of bottles being confiscated right after the duty free shop told the passenger there was no problem taking them on board. Perhaps it depends on the airline, or perhaps the problem has been sorted now. Perhaps it's just best to buy kiwi after all.

Re: Duty free
That is odd as when you buy your duty free you should pick it up on the otherside (after immigration and customs) this means that the bottles wouldn't have been tampered with.

If you join the duty free store club you can order online and have it waiting for you when you get back. And you get something like 30% off
