Why do idiots indicate right when going straight on at a roundabout it irritates the hell out of me!!!

I did that last week....... but.... in my defence - I AM only learning - just made me laugh to see what you'd written cos I felt really bad about the people behind me at the time.

Actually the funniest thing is I usually drive with low beam headlights on for safety and in Europe it will be mandatory for all cars to have low beam headlights for daytime running wired in soon. Gubbermints around the word recomend it along with the Institute of Advanced Motoristing.

Yet the number of times you get people flashing you to warn you that your lights are on is astonishing, like they are thinking "That bloody idiot is going to cause a crash by being safe!" ;).

Your lucky, Italians do not indicate on roundabouts. They are a relatively new concept here and the vast majority of Italians have no idea how to use them. They drive straight on, give way when on the roundabout, turn right when in the outside lane and turn left.:eek:

yeah totally random at times - worse here as we live next to the retirement centre of Orewa, full of "Sunday drivers" 7 days a week......
and don't start me on "lane discipline" - it does not exist in NZ :thumbdown:

Well ........ technically you should indicate right but then once you pass the first exit you should then indicate left to say you are going straight through

Driving standards here are appalling, as are a lot of other things here (Police, speed limits, speed fines being pure revenue generators, attitudes to bikers) but lets not get me started!

Whats really suprised me is bus drivers! Two-hats the lot of them.

I commute Titirangi to CBD daily on motorcycle and usually have two close shaves a day with idiot drivers (dunno if they are kiwis but usually look maori and/or chinese).

Absolutely spot on, I've sold my Vespa this week. I'm not risking my life on the roads with the pathetic driving standards, normally the clueless Chinese. They're a total menace.

How do so many horrendous drivers have the right to drive? How easy is the driving test? Or do they have international driving licences?

Whatever is going off it's needs dealing with, you're a braver man than me.
