Dog and quarantine
I have a small dog which I want to bring with me to NZ. Does he have to be quarantined anyway despite the fact that he is vaccinated? Where I can read about it?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: Dog and quarantine
If your dog is coming from the UK into NZ, there's no quarantine. You can find information on the DEFRA website about it, but it's pretty wordy
In a nutshell, your dog will need a microchip, an export permit from DEFRA (in the UK and free) and an import permit from MAF (in NZ and costs). The dog will also require up to date vaccinations and if you're planning to come back to the UK at any point, a rabies vaccination too. Blood tests and fecal tests also need to be carried out and I suggest you find a good vet that can help you through this process because it all has to be done on timelines of the dog leaving the country.
Anything else you want to know, ask, and I'll answer as best I can. I shipped a dog and three cats to NZ from the UK in 2003.
