Default Does anyone live in Dairy Flats?

Does anyone live in or around Dairy Flats? If you do could you tell me what it is like? Is there a community atmosphere and central meeting places? It appears to be quite an isolated place to live, which I am hoping is not the case as it does look lovely. We have young children (4 & 6) what are the schools like, both private and public? I like my space but want to get involved in a community and to be able to make friends.

Thanks for any info
Dawn

Hello and welcome,

we live nearby.
there's a primary school, dairy (mini supermarket), petrol station.
Not sure about a hall but several communities nearby have them - Waitoki and Wainui and Silverdale.
know a few people from there through kids who go to football and our kids schools (not in Dairy Flat).
bit of a lifestyle block place. sometimes find it hard to relate to some of those kind of folks although I know quite a few. more into their goats and sheep/horses than the rest of us mortals.
it'll be close (other side of the motorway) to the massive Silverdale development that is moving on a pace and nearly has a complete PaknShove.
As far as schooling it's between the Coast and Albany and Albany has plenty of fee-paying schools, on the Cost we have a couple.
Could ask around if you need to know more detail.
Cheers, LL
