Distance Please In Miles And Minutes

Hi

Can anyone advise me how long it takes to drive from Howick area to Wiri or Manukau City. Cant seem to find a helpful map on the www! We have our meds on 31 Oct and hope to move late January all being well! We hope to go to Howick area as it looks nice , good schools etc but any thoughts on that are welcome! Other alternatives are Half Moon Bay area, Bucklands Beach, Beachlands - think we will need to few weeks in a hotel to discover which is best for us.

cheers

To drive from Howick to Manukua takes approx 30 mins in rush hour and is about (if I remember right) about 12km. Hubby used to leave at 7am from Bucklands Beach and get to the edge of the city in approx 30 mins. I however, left one morning around the school run and it took me about 40mins. Its a pretty straight road just alot of lights.

Should have added Bucklands and Half Moon are nice but pricey, even for rentals. Our little 2 bed cottage on the Peninsula was $340pw. Watch Howick though there are some areas that aint as nice with alot of grafitti etc. If you try a lady called Jean on Uk 2 NZ just add www. co.uk to the address and look under adverts etc you can pm her. She herself is an expat living in Half Moon Bay who works for a realtor in Howick.
