Hi all,
has anyone got the new number for dicounted phone calls so family can ring us from UK or are they not doing it anymore.

I am on TalkTalk for my landline, broadband & free calls including NZ. Of course its no use if you do not have a computer.

My parents use Tiscali which includes free calls to NZ. Alternatively you could use skype which is free.

why not tell em to buy a phone card.
we use them here in nz and pay around $0.016 a minute
when we call the uk.
Every asian run paper shop or petrol station in the uk has them for sale

Not always the very cheapest, but Telediscount is handy for friends/family who call occasionally: http://telediscount.co.uk/index2.php

No subscription necessary. Just look up the current NZ landline and mobile access numbers, and call them from your own phone before dialling the NZ number. The cost goes on the landline bill.

Current costs are 2p/min to NZ landlines (access number 0844 462 95 95) or 15p/min to NZ mobiles (access number 0911 501 25 25).

When we lived there we had Sky for BB/TV/Phone...they had a package for 5 quid a month for free calls to about 30 countires including NZ. (Limit of any one call was 1 hour)

Ok thanks for that, mum and dad lives in Southern Ireland so they are a little behind with different phone companys and their skype is not the best so I will tell them to look out for the card. Would they do them cards in Bahrain? as my sister has just moved there, I will get her to look as well. thanks :thumbup:

My mum rings me with Telestunt. You dial the telestunt number first, then the NZ number and it only costs 1p a minute, so its fab! Just look up the telelstunt number online (it should be 08448618888)
