As soon as we returned from our visit to her, OH and I were scouring the internet for info on immigration - took a while before we admitted to each other what we were doing ! Even as little as a year ago there were far more jobs available and we had feedback from some contacts asking when we were arriving but with nothing doing on house sale we were unable to make any commitments. Hopefully things will pan out - we will keep all fingers and toes crossed and as you say things will surely improve sometime. We have been lucky so far to always be moving home when it was a sellers' market - this time it hasn't worked out in our favour but we are determined peeps so will keep beavering away ! Psychopandy - when are you moving over for good and which area ? Good to hear of someone being successful on the job front - bet you are relieved. TTFN

Hi Tougal
We are hoping to go over around Christmas. Job due to start in February, thought we might get a bit of a holiday first
The employer has been really good, hasnt put any pressure on to restrict our options.
We are about to submit our ITA tomorrow and will see what happens from then.
We were fortunate enough to have sold our house last May 08. im not sure which area you are in but if its any help, where we are, (mid west yorkshire) things are picking up in the housing market. Lots more serious buyers out there, better flow of mortgages out of the banks. (being a bit tough with downvaluing though). The increase in interest isnt reaching everything though and the newer stuff to the market seems to get the best viewers. I would say hang on in there, if you are sure your agent is doing the best for you - if not bin em and get a new one. Youd be amazed what a new agents view and a change of marketing material can do for a property.
Best of luck
