Desert Island discs!!
I'm bored and fancy a fun thread so......
Your 3 fave records and why and one luxury item for your desert island, like this
1. I won't last a day without you -The Carpenters -Our Tune
2. Life on Mars - David Bowie - The first 'real' record I can remember
3.Bohemian Rhaposdy - Cos you can play it anywhere!! LOUD!!
My luxury item would be my mates!! All of them, bl**dy useless, but we'd all have a good giggle, and cos I miss them soooo much

luxury item- my mates !!! weve all grown up recently sniff!!!! work & family commitments so i dont see them as much as i would like but will be doing loads of quality girl time b4 Nz esp as im getting married the month b4 we go (mad i know) so hen night, or weekend or week???

Tricky.......apart from the luxury item - have to be the hi-fi to play the tunes on of course, no point having not much of a life, three records and no decent means of reporoduction - hehe aside from the tribe of man-starved buxom amazons that will poplulate the island.......
Anyway back OT:
1. Led Zep - Since I've Been Loving You - so I can hear the creaky drum kit and chuckle to myself
2. Blur - This Is A Low, from Parklife, to remind me of Blighty and that the weather is mixed in the Northern Hemisphere - also would excercise the sub and bass response of my lovely Castle speakers!!
3. Miles Davis - Flamenco Sketches from Kind of Blue, as it is so soothin- music to chill out to!
BTW, the hifi comes with the rest of my record/CD/SACD/DVDA collection, secreted inside the cabinets!!!
Anyway back OT:

1. Dignity - Deacon Blue - i just love this song well all of there songs
2. I dont feel like dancing - Scissor Sisters - Reminds me of the last few months getting all things together to go to NZ
3. Working 9 - 5 - Dolly Parton - Reminds me of my 2 best friends who i am leaving behind to go to NZ.

Can't fight this feeling-REO Speedwagon-on our wedding video and says it all for me and wifey.
Don't stop believin'-Journey-an anthem for our troop when I was a squaddie-good times/great mates.
With or without you-U2-always makes me turn the radio up-and well before Bono got all political......
Luxury item would be my drum kit-cant play but trying to learn. As soon as i sit down both kids appear rob the sticks and beat the crap out of everything in range-so solitude appeals for that reason.

my luxury item: a girly night out with my friends as they live 150 miles away in the town where i come from, and i dont get to see them very often and the last time we had a girly night out was my hen night last july.

..........forgot to say that it was my UK aerobics class.
I did look into it in Tauranga and the classes are at the wrong times for me

Whaddya say about going to Ceroc? I know it's on a Wednesday evening in town. Did it in the UK just before we came and I wasn't very good but it was a laugh. PM me if you're interested
