Demurrage, Taxes, Customs Examinations etc.
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help? We have received a few quotes from Relocation companies for a door to door service of a 20ft container all of which include packing, collection, loading, transportation, customs clearance, delivery and unloading but excludes insurance, taxes, duties, demurrage and customs examination. Does anyone know how much the costs of the excluded items will be or a rough estimate?? Any assistance would be most gratefully received

think Moving Company charge about $375 excluding MAF fees. BUT i went with John Mason and their quote says that it is end to end and that they have employed an agent to act on their behalf, ie Moving Company. So when they tried to charge me the $375 i told them to stick it and showed them our invoice and asked why should i pay again? So they didnt charge me.
MAF fees depend upon what you ship and whether they need inspection or treatment.
