That don't impress me much. :p

Even in the world of the rich and Instafamous there are some people that have to take it to the next level. Can you imagine how much a EU regulation heart shaped cucumber would cost in NZ? Not even Kanye would go there.

Holy guacamole! I hear the price of avos is the talk of the town and back in the news this week. Comes to something when a Mexican restaurant has to remove them from the menu.

I saw them for $5.99 today. Infact I spent my trip going round the supermarket veggie aisle shaking my head in disgust at the prices for green veg. A small green pepper was $3.49, thankfully I have a few homegrown ones left. I'm very fed up of living like this.

I think I might have a go at growing them this year, just for the hell of it!
Tried to get a red pepper at Countdown, Whangaparaoa today........they didn't have any! I was going to make sweet and sour pork for dinner but no peppers of any colour and no pork fillet either .

Sounds like a plan. Why are they so expensive down there? Is it time to go into the cucumber business, having identified the need?

You better fill that pool in and plant some lettuce seeds and get some slug pellets whilst you're at it...

Oh get you, another rockstar showing off with your Cucumber laden Gin and Tonic - no doubt you'll be talking very loudly and laughing uproariously 'what what' about your love of finer things in life. Mind someone doesn't rip your arm off for the Cucumber, Heinz Baked Beans and Capsicums. :hysterical:

I try to inject the odd 'I say!'. My friend asked if I wanted a couple of cukes and a pepper but he wouldn't pick them until we were going to run into each other. I went to his house and he took the shears into the garden and so I got them fresh off the vine.

Different taste than the store-bought ones.... https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...f6b6ec62a2.jpg
If I can find a pith helmet and a monocle somewhere I'll give 'Quite!' and 'Just so!' some exercise as well. Fresh case of tonic so I'm ready.
