Hi there and welcome.
I've moved your post out of the leavers and arrivals list thread into a spot of it's own.
Hopefully Hurtle and any others that have brought their pets will be along shortly.
We brought out our two cats way back in 2004.

Hi Alison, my quote for 2 cats is £3290 (shipping & Quarantine), that is without the vets cost for all the jabs and blood tests they need before, and i think there are a few hidden extras by the shippers

Hi Alison, short answer is yes, it's expensive... and complicated!
Firstly, you have to start preparations 6 months before you want to ship your cats as they have to have Rabies jabs. This is then followed up a month later with blood tests to make sure the rabies jab has worked, if it doesn't go back to step 1!
We got various quotes for shipping and they all seem to quote for different things, my wife ended up doing a spreadsheet to try and make sense of it, lol.
Our costs are basically about £3500 door to door, including flights, pet shippers and Quarantine etc. This doesn't include the vets bill for Rabies etc which is about £400 (Has to be a Veterinary Officer).
Hope this helps.
