I tend to agree. So pleased NZ is not as per other virus ridden countries who are scrambling to jab as people still die.

Apparently Johnson&Johnson are contracting Eminem to promote their Jansen vaccine because 'you only get one shot' and if your 'palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy' these are normal side effects.

The New Zealand government have more than 7 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine on order. Hopefully it will be possible to get that order fast-tracked now that so many other countries are putting that one on hold.

Haha, I was thinking exactly the same thing about Australia. I bet Italy's sorry it blocked that 300,000 doses shipment of AZ last week

​​​​​​​The decision has already been made to give everyone in NZ the same (Pfizer) vaccine in order to streamline the admin and delivery, so any money spent on alternatives is a sunk cost and availability of other options already has been dismissed.

It isn't being done by the local clinic here. I need to drive over to the area dhb hospital for this.

I've had so many assorted vaccinations in my time for all manner of dreaded diseases and all without a care . This one though gives me the jitters a bit in a way. I think perhaps I am not as resilient to perceived risks as I once was. Also that the past year has meant such a huge change in our plans and so a monster work on the brainbox to shift thinking about our future.

Off I go........ Jabbed in an one hour time.

Update: That was one smooth slick operation. I arrived early. Was seen straight away. A form . Wait. Wear a mask. Double check form. Jabbed. Out. Wait 20 mins. Make further appt for 2nd jab. Go home. All told maybe 30 mins in and out.
