Re: Coronavirus
It's getting beyond a joke now. Should have gone to level 1 weeks ago
Obersturmbannführer Ardern is going way to far. She needs to stop being such a control freak. Her reluctance to treat kiwis like adults is doing nothing but destroying businesses.

Re: Coronavirus
The government have taken a very cautious approach which I am OK with because there have been cases overseas (Hong Kong) where infections pop up again after two weeks of zero new cases reported. Many examples of countries trying to keep their economy going (USA, UK) are nowhere near getting in control. Italy< France,Spain did not want to lock down early but have forced to put in very stringent restrictions for a long time after leaving it late then having a re-think.

I have lived here several years now and stopped expecting to be able to treat the Kiwis like adults a long time ago.

In ways I agree with you, the problem with being in Oz since March is I've been watching home (NZ) from afar and although Australia is doing well, the in fighting over the states ans borders and Scomo's bumbling is frustrating to watch, and I can't wait to get back to Nz..
I did get a laugh this week when some guy told him to get off his lawn as he had just laid grass seed..🤣
And Pete Evans from My Kitchen rules(now his contract hasn't been renewed because he's a crackpot) trying to spruke his crap everywhere. I have a big tin foil hat for him on the bench.

Re: Coronavirus
Does anyone thing NZ will be open for international tourism early 2021?
I had this career break planned for sometime and I wanted to do a month backpacking and hiking around NZ in Jan. From media reports sounds like they may be strict on allowing foreign visitors for sometime.
