Bridges and Hosking are complete and utter arses & that does arses a dis-service. Even in the face of the pandemic crisis they have been unable to behave responsibly at all.

Oh really?
What makes the useless fools think that people are that thick & clueless.
Hopeless.

I turn it off after they finish the briefing. I can't handle the questions that the reporters ask.
Are those questions pre written then or are the reporters really that stupid?

Sense of entitlement. Disconnected from the electorate.

The health minister needs to be removed or completely sidelined once the main covid response is over. I understand why it was important to not upset the cabinet at that time but afterward is a different matter.

Bridges? Not fit for purpose or to lead in any way.

I want to nominate President Donald Trump for a prestigious environmental prize.

Let us look at the facts:
- Depopulated his country by sitting on his hands as Coronavirus ravaged his population.
- He has overseen the destruction of the domestic oil industry with oil Trading at negative prices overnight.
- He has grounded most flights of US based airlines.
- He realises that American materialism is unsustainable so is helping to destroy what remains of the economy.

This guy has inadvertently done more for the environment than any of his predecessors.

He's made such an outstanding contribution to the Labour Party campaign and a stunning effort at shooting himself and the National Party in the foot - we know it's his job as leader of the opposition to oppose everything the Labour Party does but he' lost his audience. His Facebook posts have National Party supporters wincing with embarrassment.

if the government introduces helicopter payments here, the pondlife will blow it on KFC and meth.

I'd rather see people's mortgages and rent paid, plus food vouchers.

I guess they need us all to have a bit of free cash to spend on other things to keep businesses going - if they gave food vouchers people would still trade them for cash to buy booze, fags and drugs. All the Dairies and supermarkets must have made their budget for the year, so we need to spend it on other things.

Don't much care what they spend it on as long as they spend it. Early indications are that consumers are pulling back spending and repaying debt. If we head into L2 and consumers don't spend we will face a wave of bankruptcies and defaults within months

This is the job infrastructure should be doing. It does make me laugh thought at all that time we spent bickering and arguing about light rail and now Auckland airport will be dead for years and has already pulled the major projects that light rail was supposed to support. We may as well build it though, got to build something I guess.

Hosking can talk a load of nonsense, but he's not wrong that we should have been coming out of level 4 lockdown today to level 3. What was it 2 or 3 new cases in NZ today? The level 3 is still pretty much stricter than Australia, where they yesterday reported 3 new cases nationwide, none in several of the states.

It seems that it's a crime to ask tough questions of Ardern, sure she's managed it very well since the decision to implement the lockdown, but there's also been some fortune, the delay in the first case, remoteness, benefiting from others experiences. However there's no doubt delaying things 5 further days, will cause further economic damage and job losses.
