Hi there

We are hoping to be coming out in October of this year as have a job offer in place starting November

We have 2 daughters aged 2 and a half and 1 and a quarter

Did a brief recce last month - are now aware of all the local toddler groups, kindergarten, lower school, supermarket, discount clothing store etc!!!

May well have underestimated the hoops we need to jump through between now and then, but we shall put more on that under the Immigration forum.....

Would love to hear from anyone with words of support!?

Hi! Good luck with your immigration plans! Coopers Beach ..... fantastic! We spent some very chilled out time there last year, if you've visited you know how lovely the Doubtless Bay area is...... very friendly locals, fantastic houses, great for kids .... def an area I would be happy to settle in..... Hope you don't have too many sleepless nights!, you will need all your energy for clearing and packing!, just cleared garage and loft for house move here, dreaded the thought, but now its done 'boy' does it feel good!! (enjoyed it really but don't tell OH!)

Coopers Beach is in the Far North, near Mangonui and the 'world famous fish and chips shop'?!?

It's about an hour north of the Bay of Islands, about parallel with the start of 90 mile beach but on the east coast.

Have been there 3 times now, last time staying for 3 days. It is lovely, friendly, chilled out..... just have to see how we adjust to the 'simple life' - but if we can learn to chill out it'll be the best thing ever!!!
