Default Container arrival

My container is due to arrive in Wellington on 17 March. That is also the date that I have been booked to go on a 3 day course in Sydney and then its Easter weekend which I am planning to stay in Oz with friends.

Do you think I am safe to be outta NZ in that week or am I likely to get a call to say they want to deliver asap? I know some of you have waited ages after your container arrived into port but others have had theirs delivered quite quickly.

Is there a possibility that it might arrive earlier than the current estimated date?

I am sure the removal company willl hold it for you, they may charge a few, just give them a ring, yes it is possible it could arrive early ours did, you can look up on the net somewhere and find out where the ship is, (what ports it has already been too.) if you know the name of the ship its on, which should be on your documentation.

I wouldn't have thought it would arrive early. Check online and see if the docking date has changed at all. I can't see any company being in a rush to get a container delivered before Easter....depends on how busy they are I guess and whether or not they can get MAF round to inspect.

Hiya

Our container arrived the day after they said it would, then we had to wait a few days for MAF to give it all the go ahead. We were told that if we weren't ready they would store it for us on a daily rate, I can't remember how much it was, but it wasn't expensive.
Hope this helps.
