Just had Bobbys fish and chips. Very nice but salty.

The mushy Peas were perfect, the chips great but the fish was battered strangely not quite sure how to explain. I miss the haddock and cod. Terrible music playing. But a rather glorious cuppa YORKSHIRE TEA rounded the proceedings off well. I was a little confused as to the contents of the loo though see attached photo.Coming to the Sunny Bay of Plenty-fishy.jpg

I work close to The Strand, I'll have to give Bobby's a go.

Thinks it's down to the type of fish myself. Fishbox seems to have the right batter mix but i may have kept him talking too long when he overcooked the snapper last time.
Yes we really miss cod and haddock too. Had blue cod not long ago which was nice but still not as good as back home.

Seems there's a few of us ex pats in Tauranga now. Who'd be up for a brunch / lunch, maybe fish n chips on the prom somewhere, sometime either in the week or weekend ?
