Colossal Squid at Te Papa

Oh My Jesus Christ Almighty above, below, and just off to the side, over there, just past the cabinet!

Currently being broadcast is the defrosting of a 480kg squid, caught at Porirua pool,or somewhere like that.
It is the largest specimen caught to date,it's a male, the females are even larger, and it is so big,it's nearly half the size of my mother-in-law!

It is approximately 10 metres long-a London bus is 8 metres long (is a London bus a different dimension to all other buses?).

It is called Henry, and it was a taxi driver opperating out of Waitangirua.

Not all facts presented here are correct.

At 480kg, it would be only slightly above average weight for a Waitangirua resident.

London buses are the universal standard of measurement when trying to describe something that is too big for the human brain to fathom, other dimensions generally accepted include "the size of XX no football pitches" or "that would wrap around the globe XX number of times"
