Hi all,

When we move over to Wellington in July we will be looking to rent for a while. We were wondering if its possible to get a rental that would allow us to keep a few chickens (for the eggs). Do any of you keep chickens or know anyone that does. Is it a no brainer?

Wimpy, have you found a job yet?

Now this may not be what you are looking for, but I was reading in the paper today that there is a huge shortage of workers for the dairy farms. Farmers can usually sponsor workers for a one or two year work permit. Usually housing is offered as part of the package (perhaps a beef or hog for the freezer as well). I'm sure that there would be no objections in keeping a few chickens.

Just a thought.
