Default Clothes sizing

I really should know this having been here for two years but ……….

I am looking to send some tops back the the uk for Christmas prezzies and they are for a pretty big guy, so is a UK xxxl the same here or is the nz equivalent smaller, or even larger ?

The people who sell it are saying that a NZ XL is a uk XXL but I thought it was the other way round ………. help

Whatever it is in the UK get one size smaller.. at least I was an 18 in the UK and I buy 16 here. I had a superking duvet and I get a king duvet so it seems all is one smaller in UK sizes and not the other way round. I think maybe they are confusing it with USA sizing maybe. Hope that helps anyway.

Wished i would have know about the bedding size before I bought the King sized quilt set for my king size English bed, we are now drowning in extra material, should have got the Queen size - oh well live and learn.
