Re: Cicadas!
Still all quiet in Gulf Harbour. Perhaps all the cats have eaten them! Can see quite a few of the shed casings around the place but only the occasional chirrup. Normally start hearing them late November/ early December around these parts.
I don't mind the noise (even when I used to work shifts), it's better than the boom-boom noise from some of our neighbours or their dogs barking.
I miss them.

I am lovin' this summer, still blissfully quiet here - only heard the occasional one or two cicadas and haven't yet seen or heard any crickets either. Woohoo!!

Come to think of it I've not heard any either. I live in the city so not that many compared to some places but we still normally hear a few.

Well it seems they've moved out of the woods and are out in force around the house during the day. Night still seems pretty quiet , or maybe I'm used to the noise!?
