You could but can you afford to send 'em. :sneaky:

What is the current price for that.

Stamps end up costing more than the card - I usually buy a book of ten Christmas stamps for sending cards to UK for around $30 - you get one stamp for free if you buy a book.

I don't worry about such things as "cut offs"

Normally send around 18th December from Australia to the UK

And have always arrived on time or thereabouts

Buy cheap $1.00 cards from the Chinese "cheap-as-chips" store......... (only going to end up in the bin anyway, so pointless spending $$$$)

Funny that the postage costs more than the actual card

This is the NZ forum , not Oz.

You may not care about the cut off dates but those looking forward to receiving their caring card or little something from those of us in NZ might prefer they arrive before Xmas period rather than after.
Those of us with older family members and friends certainly know the value of making the effort and of course that works vice versa. I love receiving the few cards and the odd Dorset calendar. Lifts my heart.

Same here, swapping cards & pressies is important to our family and we have learnt over the years that sometimes it can take 3 days to send stuff, but on other occasions it has taken over a month. Sooner posted the better, and never rely on it being a fast service at Christmas to either NZ or Aus.

Seems to be $3.30 to send a card from NZ to the UK or the rest of the world.

Good for you. I hope they arrive to the UK and the rest of the world in time. They may not. There again you would be posting from Australia.

For the rest of us who are actually living here in NZ right now, we may just prefer to be better safe than sorry and go by the guidelines as posted by New Zealand post.

I'm not really sure there is anything to say other than that.

MrsF posted up the actual last post date guideline for New Zealand. Best to follow that .
