Christmas bonus?

Christmas bonus?
Just wondering if anybody gets anything from their companies for Christmas? We had a couple of parties and a restaurant meal but nothing monetary. We do, however, get a few days off work withough having to take it out of our A/L allowance so get just over 2 weeks holiday.
One of my friends who works for a large national organisation received a leg of ham and a $50 Mad Butcher voucher (they didn't check if anybody was a vegetarian!).

Re: Christmas bonus?
I work part time/as a locum but got SIX bottles of wine from the boss who I only work 3 hours a week for I was pretty shocked when he made me open my car and loaded them in.
I would love to work there fulltime but he doesn't have enough work for me

What does my company offer?
Christmas do cancelled back in September and pay freeze for the last 3 years.
I did get an email saying we need to do better financially in 2011 and we did an okay job this year.
Makes you feel really appreciated.

Aw Rob, that's crap, sorry to hear that. 'An okay job'- yeah that will really inspire you all to give a little bit more...

But I do get to work from home a lot and spend loads of time with my 3 month old daughter, which is the reason I haven't quit yet!

A Christmas ham.
BBQ for the men at the works. Husband got a bit slaughtered.
Feel for you Rob. Husband hasn't had a payrise in 4 years now. He nearly got one this year. They gave him one and then took it away. At least there wasn't too many short working weeks over winter.

Re: Christmas bonus?
We took over a pub for the night free beer and food all night, then they gave me a bucket with marshmellows, chocolate drink,BBQ sauce, napkins, some spicy stuff and a 40 dollar voucher,
Not to bad really it must have cost a few quid there are over 400 employees

Re: Christmas bonus?
Yep, good enough for a week anyway!!
Just had another, the permanent position I have been filling in for during the last 2 months, which I was assured was 100% mine to start in January has been given to a last minute applicant/ringer, as the person has a "degree".
Bugger!!! & I'd actually found something I really enjoy!!!
They do like all my ideas though & the new person will take them forward
Merry Christmas

Re: Christmas bonus?
Bearing in mind my employer employs 250+ people ..... we all got a digital camera, company xmas do (meal and free bar inc. top shelf) and a site xmas do (BBQ with free all you can manage booze and free rafle with prizes like wine, hampers, crates of beer etc).
I am very lucky to be employed by such a generous company.
