Christmas arrived last Monday
I don't really do shopping but I needed to last Monday.
Flippin' heck ! Christmas had already arrived in shops big time.

NO! Whatever happened to Halloween or don't you celebrate it down there. We still have Halloween and Thanksgiving to get through before Christmas is advertised.

I find Halloween a rather odd, commercial, affair here. It seems to be about begging sweets or doing tricks rather than the more traditional family way of apple bobbing and ghosty stories.
It isn't the time for pumpkins either unless one has stored one I suppose.
I am not a church goer at all but the local church here will not have any part of Halloween. They usually counter with a childrens fancy dress evening.

Yes- I noticed Countdown had mince pies and last week the artificial Xmas trees arrived!

Helped out at my boys school on Friday lunchtime doing the bbq for the sausage sizzle. I had a coffee and a mince pie in the staff room before getting in to it
