I have a inbuilt dislike of MILs - I got badly burnt the first time 
And, even though this one isn't anything like her, she still does the dependant, needy thing that drives me absolutely bananas! My mother is so independent and taught us girls to be too, that this business of not being able to do anything for yourself because there's no 'man' around WELL Anyway... I haven't given up on getting away for Christmas Day yet
