I take my blue merle collie to Agility training on Tuesdays. He/we were attempting a very long, 18 jump 2 tunnel course - pretty ambitious for him as he's a beginner, and as he jumped over Jump 9 a big flash of lightning happened. He ran all the way off the course, across the field and back to the car and tried to get in and we all felt really sorry for him

Definitely broke his focus and eventually trainers kind of sent us home as he just wasn't concentrating on the task at hand

Sleepy pic attached of him

It was fantastic, glad no-one took a photograph of a poor individual being slashed with hailstones protecting his wifes fish and chip meal from getting soaked. A thorough check was done by the wife and luckily no bruises have formed. They did hurt though, it was like being pelted with BB gun pellets.
I actually thought with the size of hailstones they were, that a tornado was on its way. That or Godzilla was about to come out of the seas at New Brighton (stolen from Mark Smith)
Our conservatory didn't get damaged and the car was in the garage. Quite a few people at work have a few dents on their cars. Some drivers stopped on Papanui Road when it came down heavily
It's obvious Mother Nature does not like Christchurch on the 4th September.
