Christchurch House-Sitter Wanted: Dec 26th to Jan 10th

Hi folks. The missus and I are in need of a house sitter whilst we explore a bit more of NZ. Anyone fancy spending a few weeks looking after our cat & chooks, and having some free accom to boot?

You need to be:
Over 25
Be able to provide 2 refs
Be happy stroking and feeding our cat
Like eggs, as our chooks produce lots
Aim to be around for most of the time (24hrs away max)
Enjoy fish cos there's lots of that in the freezer

The house is in Hoon Hay, ChCh, and has room for anything from a couple to a large family, with 4 bedrooms. Only 2 beds though, so airbeds on the floor for the kids if you have them. We've got a big gated rear garden.

Haha - that seems to be the general vibe. So much for last minute! Ah well, am sure that something will come along which fits in well. :fingerscrossed: :) I am ever the optimist.

wow sounds brilliant, I would have love to have put my mother and mother in law in there, they would have kept it great for you and even baked things for the freezer. But unfortunately, no can do. if you lived closer, I would have looked after it anyway for you. Sorry, have a great christmas.

I am pleased to report that we have ourselves a house sitter now all sorted, so thanks to all who have looked. I reckon we'll have another opportunity over Easter when we head off to the YooKay so will give folks a bit more notice next time!
