I heard an advert on the radio today, for maintenance and repairs for floppy decks . and it wasn't even one of those dodgy men's clinics

Youngsters say 'lush' a lot now. I think it means summat good.
They also say 'gay' and it doesn't necessarily mean a positive happy gay mood or a homosexual lad. It can mean something very detrimental to someone's character.

I loathe 'awesome' always seems to be used out of context, its been imported from USA as well, and the 'aye' or 'hey' at the end of sentences does my head in.
I like the 'good as gold' line though, mainly because it is a line a contractor of mine uses and its always good to hear him say it, 'no worries' is the aust. version I think and those words are music to my ears!

Funnily enough its one of the things I miss about UK. That 'innit' and 'know what i mean'. I shouldn't miss it but I do.

Re: Children's Vocabulary
It makes me wonder what did everyone say before everything became 'Oar-sum', 'Lush', 'Yummy', 'yum' or 'yummo'?
I loathe them all!! Along with the 'like' in every 'like' sentence, yeah. I'm like so over it.

Re: Children's Vocabulary
I heard another one today that reminded me of this thread: 'Gone burger'.
Like, today MP Chris Carter, he's a 'gone burger'.
