Checking in...
Hi, haven't been on for ages, so just in case anyone has missed me with a passion that can only be imagined, thought I would update.
Changed jobs last October - now back working in proper forensic nursing and really enjoying it. I got completely bogged own working in forensic ID so getting back to working with truly mad people has been refreshing to say the least. And as I was expected to be in charge 7 shifts out of the last 8, I guess they appreciate me too.
Bought a house with Kiwi Bloke and now live in Ruamati South. We only moved a fortnight ago so there is still quite a bit of cosmetic work to be done - on the house I hasten to add!! I love it here - just that little bit further up the coast and the weather is so much better. So it now takes 25 minutes to get to work but some of the drive makes up for that. After a shift, that drive along the coast with Kapiti Island in the background gives you the opportunity to leave work behind and take stock of your life...'sweet as' as they say....
My younger 2 sons came out for Christmas and New Year. They were here for 3 weeks and I haven't laughed so much in a very long time. It was brilliant to see them - we haven't been together for over 2 years so as you may imagine, that time was precious.
It's summer, life is great and I wish you all the same joy in life that I seem to have regained recently

It's great to hear from you and to hear that you're so happy... I think it's lovely that a 25 minute drive to work can be considered a 'commute' - when I used to think nothing of 5 hours every day!!!!! Good luck in your new home too.
