Cheap rental-car in hamilton
 

hi, folks in Hamilton

I am planning my movement to Hamilton. At the beginning, I will rent a car from Hertz, and drive from Auckland Airport to Hamilton. Then, I will try to find a cheaper rental-car in Hamilton.
However, while I try to search the car rental services online, I found most of the cheap-car-rental companies have no store in Hamilton.

Does anyone have comments or suggestion on this time? please help to give some advice on the cheap car-rental services in Hamilton.

have you looked at Juicy, they seem to be cheaper than Hertz so maybe worth getting a car from them as soon as you get here

Depends what you call cheap but I find it difficult to believe you could not find any places with pickup options in Hamilton among the plethora of car rental screen scrapers. :confused:

I've been looking around the Internet. It looks some ppl had negative comments on Juicy. Do you have any experience with Juicy? Thx

Judging by sheer numbers of them on the road they are bound to have some complaints. I have never sought out any reviews but found them to be good value, they are well known and well used by tourists and locals alike and I have never heard a bad thing about them (nor any other companies for that matter) but I guess l never looked. We have rented one for a short weekend trip and also booked them for longer term for visiting family members - with no problems.

Your renting a cheap car, there's bound to be some negative comments
If you want positive comments rent a good car.

We usually find Apex (apexrentals.co.nz) are the cheapest and the cars are decent as they don't have a desk in the airport so can keep costs down. We've used them in the South Island and family have used them when they've been over from the UK, not sure about Hamilton though.

depending on how long your planning to rent for, it might be a better option to buy a cheap run around

We moved to Hamilton 6 months ago, we used Waikato car rentals and they were good but if ur planning to need a car ur just as cheap buying a car as they are relatively cheap over here.
If I can do anything to help let me know. Are u just on ur own or with family?

I will purchase a car afterwards. Any advice on the locations to buy it?

Lastly, I will move to Hamilton with my family. Let's have fun whilst I arrive there.
