Default Chch/Rain/Floods

Need I say more?

Oh ok then...300mm in 2 months, mostly over 3 events of a couple of days' duration each. 60mm of that came over the last 2 days. Goodness knows the likelihood of Flockton being red zoned increases all the while even if they widen Dudley Creek - I do feel for those guys. This morning's run around South Hagley Park was interesting! Quite some couple of months and I think a couple of dryish months, or even average months, wouldn't go amiss.

Lovely to see the sun and blue skies today.

Sounds like you got what Auckland gets most months - we've been unusually dry despite best attempts by tropical storms Lusi and Ita, I think we still had the driest March and April.

I heard weather news today was predicting rough gales and wintry weather on the way with some snowfall likely within the coming week.

No ! We don't want anymore of that , thank you very much. Some of the good people of Christchurch are really suffering big-time.

Up here we have been extremely soggy with slips and all sorts. It curtailed our plans for last weekend.
Now we are approaching the winter period earlier than last year. So. No thank you very much. Ta!

Four sunny, dry days forecast with some pretty decent temperatures too.
