Default Re: central heating

He is sparkiedownunder. Mr BEVS is a time served plumber, gasfitter, solar hws & all that type of gubbins including hole digging. 30 years in the UK and 8 years here. AArrgghh!

Pcmay is a gas fitter. He could possibly do his own install but he would need his supervising registered NZ gasfitter, or if pcmay had passed his NZ PGDB registration, the NZ craftsman gasfitter from his place of employment to sign off the work. If his property is in an area of Auckland where there is reticulated gas then he could, in theory, have gas ch in the home he bought. As someone else pointed out pipe size are a wee bit different here. Also, working practices.

Per HERE It wasn't the PGDB that brought in the new rules and regs about DIY. It was changes to The Building Act.

We are just putting central heating into our new house we bought our radiators and valves from Wickes in UK and shipped them over here a lot cheaper we are going to run it using a wood burner in the winter and to heat our hot water.
