Cell/Mobile Phones

What are they called in NZ?

If I ask for just a SIM Card on a pay-as-you-go contract, would I be using the correct terminology? Would this be available?

Is the Cell/Mobile Phone market as cut-throat as in the UK?

Im sure if you asked for a sim card for a pay as you go service people will understand you pretty well...just walk into any vodafone shop and ask for that.

Be sure your phone is not networked blocked from the UK though

The cell phone market is not cut throat, only two players, vodafone and the state owned telecom.

check out the vodafone.co.nz site for more details on phones, contracts, rates etc
