Get your Wof from a VTNZ (its on the way to Lower Hutt from Welly). They don't fix things (so no interest in ripping you off) and you will be in and out in about 30 mins. They have loyalty card as well (or supermarket dockets give you a discount).

And they tried to adjust my auto-levelling Xenon lights with a screwdriver.
Personally I won't go there again. But for a basic WOF service they are fine.
Oh, and some WOF centres can be really anal about window tints too.

Our experience is that some of their guys can be a bit efficious, got a potential fail on tinted windows that was incorrect as the vehicle had been imported before the new requirements came in and was therefore exempt (so I was told later by other testers and another importer) - could have cost us $200 to get the tint removed, but next warrant went through fine.

Keep an eye on them though - my car has a rear beam with big yellow stickers on it warning them not to jack the car with it. Guess what they did?

Probably - as I said if you want a basic WOF service you're fine. Just keep an eye on them to make sure they look after your car!
